Regional Consultations

Regional Fisheries Organizations (RFMOs) and Regional Fisheries Agreements (RFMAs), hold key knowledge and information on the current challenges and needs for UNFSA implementation.

DOALOS will conduct informal consultations with selected RFMO/As with a mandate for the management of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks. These consultations will provide key information to assess regional priorities and current capacity-building needs of States Parties to implement the UNFSA.

The consultations will also help identify possible beneficiary countries and shape a series of activities and initiatives that will strengthen their capacity to implement UNFSA at the national level through the delivery of targeted needs-based technical assistance.

  • Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)
