ECOSOC is also a gateway for UN partnership and participation. It offers a unique global meeting point for productive dialogues among government officials, policymakers, parliamentarians, academics, foundations, businesses, youth and 3,200+ .

The HLPF is the main UN platform on sustainable development and it has a central role in the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals at the global level. It is under the auspices of the General Assembly and ECOSOC.
