INTER-AGENCY COORDINATED APPEALS: FUNDING GAP (2014-2021)

All requirements and funding between 2014 and 2020 are as of end-year. Requirements and funding for 2021 as of 19 November.
While more funding is expected by the end of 2021, funding as at mid-November 2021 is similar to 2019 end-year figures (about 17 billion United States dollars). Funding ouside the plans included in the GHO has decreased significantly since 2014, dropping from about 14 billion to around 6.5 billion in 2021. This is in contrast with the steady rise in funding requirements over the years, having gone from just under 20 billion in 2014 to almost 40 billion in 2021.
Of note, funding requirements increased 39% - almost 11 billion dollars - just between the years 2019 and 2020, due to COVID-19.
